What’s better than a Black and White Gala? A Black and White Gala that celebrates young professionals and raises money to help make our community a better place! The Young Professionals of Ocala brought together young leaders in the area to connect and create ideas to stimulate growth in the community. They promote professional development as well as a foundation for new-found friendships to form.

This month, the Young Professionals of Ocala held their annual Black and White Gala fundraiser, where over one hundred and fifty business professionals gathered to raise money for the Food 4 kids Program  http://www.iesmarion.org/food4kids. This program provides backpacks filled with food to kids in the school system that do not have food to eat over the weekend. Because of fundraisers like these, the Food 4 Kids program reaches thirty-one schools in Marion County, and feeds over one thousand six hundred and fifty children.

Raney’s was happy to sponsor this event, and participated with a few of its senior members in the fundraising festivities that took place that night. They participated in the silent auction, and with their bids and the bids of others, were able to help raise eight hundred and fifty dollars for the Food 4 Kids! It was an overall great time with fellow Chromozonians and business professionals working together for a great cause. At Raney’s, there’s no limit to what we will do for our community! It’s not just about what we do at work, but the impact we can make outside of it. Check out our website at http://www.raneystruckparts.com/about to find out more about our involvement in our community and the fun we have doing it!
