Job Fair season started earlier this year and Raney’s is always happy and honored to be a part of these events!  We always love to meet new people, talk about our company, and tell others about our unique culture. There are countless leaders in our community that help job seekers and employers across the counties, and this time, for the second year in a row, Marion County Public Schools, the Public Education Foundation of Marion County, the Chamber and Economic Partnership (CEP), Mid-Florida Manufacturing Association (MRMA) and CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion brought our local youth to explore career paths and internship opportunities! Raney’s was one of the booths in attendance, meeting and greeting high school students from Marion County and telling them about who we are and why Raney’s is a great place to work!

Our CEO Joel Raney sat with a few of these students, and shared with them his passion for starting his own business and building Raney’s Inc. High school students from grades 9-12 stopped by our booth, asking us questions about “The Wheel,” our fun way of recognizing achievement in the office, or our most recent award as Ocala Magazine’s Business of the Year. Even though the students were young, you could see many of them were eager to learn about the career opportunities here in Ocala.

Raney’s was also invited to attend Vanguard High School to welcome incoming high school students and talk to them about the benefits of the IB program offered at the school. Joel is a Vanguard Alumni who was in the program, so he spoke words of encouragement to the middle school students, and told them how being in the program could influence their futures. Our Raney’s booth was there for the students to check out and learn about us and our company culture as well!

Reaching out to students is a great way to prepare them for their future careers and tell them about opportunities here as well! We are excited for this job fair season and look forward to attending more events this year! If you are interested in exploring our open job opportunities, Check out our career page here.
