The holiday season is well under way! This is the time of year where shopping, feasting, and family time all come together. This is also a season of giving, and the Raney’s crew is always willing to lend a hand and do what they can to help the community. As it turns out, Toys for Tots of Marion County had the same idea! With extra cash to spend on the kids this year, they needed hands willing to do some shopping. A couple of our Chromozonians took on this task, and on an early Wednesday morning, Alexis, Allyson, and The Toys for Tots crew headed to Toys R Us!

Toys R Us opened their doors before store hours, and we grabbed shopping carts, divided into teams, and conquered different sections of the stores depending on age ranges. Our Chromozonians were assigned to shop for toys aged 0-2, which happened to be an age range that Toys for Tots were in desperate need of. After about thirty minutes, they had two carts filled with toys, from rattles to Tonka trucks!

Along with Toys, Raney’s was also able to participate in the WESH 2 Share your Christmas Food Drive. Our Chromozonians gathered non-perishable food items to send to Second Harvest Food Bank, to deliver food to many organizations across Central Florida that will be feeding families this holiday season. By the end of the drive, Raney’s was able to collect several larges boxes filled with food in our offices!

Raney’s continues getting into the season by filling our Christmas tree with toys for the kids in our community. Raney’s is filled with individuals who love to give back to the community, and we are looking for people who bring that same fun, charitable spirit to the workplace. I don’t think we got enough toys, what do you think?

So many kids on the Nice List this year!

Stronger together!
