Class is in session at Raney’s! We teamed up with the Chamber and Economic Partnership and Marion County Schools, to show students in Ocala what opportunities await them after high school or College! The Dunnellon High School Junior Class strapped on their thinking caps for their field trip to our headquarters to tour our different departments, meet some Chromozonians, and learn about the hiring processes in the workplace. We want our Ocala youth to be prepared for the real world they will soon enter, so what better way than through a day in the life of a Chromozonian?

Welcome Dunnellon High Schoolers!

Our students divided themselves into 3 groups, and made their way through each department. While there, they met with Chromies who told them their role at Raney’s, and answered any questions the students had. One lucky student even had the chance to drive a semi truck! Virtually, of course. We took her picture and our graphic designer manipulated the image to make it look as though she was driving the truck herself. The students were able to see the important and amusing talents our Chromozonians use on a regular basis. From learning about sending invoices, to discovering the power of WOW gifts, to being in a mock interview, these students received one-of-a-kind insight into a real office environment, and had a blast doing so!

Miranda enjoyed seeing her virtual transformation into a semi truck driver. Thanks, Famel!

Norm and Connor were excited to show the students what Raney’s is all about!

Not only did the Dunnellon High students get an interactive look at each employee’s job description, but they also received an invitation to join in on the fun our Chromozon ians have in an average work day. At the end of each groups’ tours the students enjoyed playing some pool, shooting some hoops, and relaxing on our indoor swing set. Did we mention that this all took place in our Break Room? The Break Room at Raney’s is certainly one of the most exciting places to be!

The boys were trying to beat Joel’s record for most shots made. Needless to say, they didn’t quite make it. Better luck next time, boys!

It is never too early, nor too late, to try to become a Chromie! If working alongside us at Raney’s sounds like your cup of tea, check out our Careers page on our website.
